Ghost Camera collects anonymous usage statistics, crash reports and a record of your purchase. It shows an ad only when you ask for one and does not sell your data.
Ghost Camera has no sign-up and no login. What you do in the app is stored on your phone and is removed when you uninstall the app.
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count anonymous events such as which screens are opened and which buttons are used, together with general device information (model, operating system version, country, language) and an app installation ID. It does not use the advertising ID. We use this only to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
When the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a report with the state of the app, the device model and operating system version, and an installation ID, so the fault can be fixed.
Purchases are made through Google Play. RevenueCat, our purchase provider, receives an anonymous app user ID and the purchase record so that your purchase can be confirmed and restored. We never see your payment details.
The app never shows an ad on its own. If you choose to watch one to unlock something, the ad is served by Google AdMob. To deliver the ad, measure it and prevent fraud, AdMob receives your IP address (from which a general location can be estimated), device information, an app-scoped identifier and how you interacted with the ad. The app does not use the advertising ID, and it asks only for ads rated suitable for teens.
Google uses this data under its own privacy policy. If you do not watch an ad, none of it is sent.
The camera is used to take the photo or video you edit, and the microphone to record the sound of a video. Both are requested only when you open the camera, and the microphone only in video mode.
Photos and videos you shoot or pick are processed entirely on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Saving to your gallery and sharing happen only when you tap Save or Share.
These providers process the data on our behalf: Google (Firebase): privacy policy; RevenueCat: privacy policy; Google (AdMob), only when you watch an ad: privacy policy.
Analytics data is kept by Google for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days. To ask what is held about your installation or to have it deleted, write to contact@bytelunalabs.com.
Ghost Camera is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
