Thermal Ghost Cam collects anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. It shows no ads and does not sell your data.
Thermal Ghost Cam has no sign-up and no login. What you do in the app is stored on your phone and is removed when you uninstall the app.
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count anonymous events such as which screens are opened and which buttons are used, together with general device information (model, operating system version, country, language) and an app installation ID. It does not use the advertising ID. We use this only to understand how the app is used and to improve it. You can turn usage statistics off at any time in the app's Settings, under Privacy.
When the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a report with the state of the app, the device model and operating system version, and an installation ID, so the fault can be fixed.
When it starts, the app asks Firebase Remote Config whether any of its features should be switched off or adjusted, so a problem can be fixed without an update. This request carries the app installation ID, the app version and general device information; nothing you do in the app is sent with it.
The camera is used only to draw the thermal view while the app is open. Camera frames are processed on your device and are never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.
To place figures in the room and to show people warm in the thermal view, the app runs two small models on your phone that estimate depth and find people in the picture. They run entirely on the device; no image or result is sent anywhere or stored.
A photo or video is saved only when you press the shutter, and an entity's photo only when you catch one. They stay on your device: in your gallery and in the app's own storage. Sharing happens only when you tap Share.
The gyroscope keeps a figure in its place in the room while you turn the phone. Its readings are used on the device for that moment only and are not stored or sent.
Entity cards, the place names and notes you add are kept only on your device. Deleting a card, or uninstalling the app, removes them.
These providers process the data on our behalf: Google (Firebase): privacy policy.
Analytics data is kept by Google for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days, then deleted. It is tied to a random installation ID, not to your name or account, so we cannot look up or remove one person's data on request. Uninstalling the app stops all collection; a new installation gets a new ID. Usage statistics can also be turned off in the app's Settings. Questions: contact@bytelunalabs.com.
Thermal Ghost Cam is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
