QuoteFollow (com.bytelunalabs.quotefollow) · ByteLuna Labs · Effective 1 October 2026
ByteLuna Labs publishes QuoteFollow ("the app") and is the data controller for the data described here. Contact: contact@bytelunalabs.com.
Your quotes are stored in your private area of Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), linked to an account identifier. Only you can read or change them. For each quote:
When you share a message, paste text or import a screenshot, the app sends the message text (and, for screenshots, the
position of each text block on the screen) plus a short summary of your open quotes (customer name, job category, amount, sent
date) over HTTPS to our backend, a Cloudflare Worker at quotefollow-api.bytelunalabs.com. The Worker forwards the
text to TypeSafe (Jev model), a third-party AI service acting as our sub-processor, which classifies it: whether
it is a new quote or a customer reply, which amount is the total, which name is the customer, and similar choices. The Worker
then applies fixed rules and returns a suggestion that you confirm or edit.
The app creates an anonymous account when you first open it, so your quotes can sync and be backed up. If you choose Back up your quotes → Continue with Google, your Google account's email address is linked to that account through Firebase Authentication. Signing in is optional.
Purchases are handled by Google Play. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; it receives your anonymous account identifier and your Google Play purchase records. We never see your payment details.
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to fix crashes. Events contain no names, phone numbers, messages or exact amounts — amounts are only reported in broad ranges (for example "500–2k"). Crash reports contain device model, OS version and technical details. Firebase App Check (Google Play Integrity) verifies that requests come from a genuine copy of the app.
| Service | What it does | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check, Remote Config) | Account, quote storage and sync, analytics, crash reports, device verification | Account id, quotes and settings, usage events, crash data, device identifiers |
| Cloudflare (Workers) | Hosts our analysis server | Message text in memory during a request; IP address |
| TypeSafe (Jev) | Classifies message text | Message text and open-quote summary, per request |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status | Account id, purchase records |
| Google Play | Distribution and billing | Per Google's own policy |
We do not sell or share your data for advertising. The app contains no ads and no advertising SDKs.
Follow-up reminders are scheduled on your phone. They show the customer's first name, job and amount so you know whom to follow up with; you can turn them off in Android settings at any time.
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Firestore security rules allow each account to access only its own data. The AI service key lives only on our server, never in the app.
Depending on where you live (for example the UK, the EU/Ireland, California, Canada or Australia) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to processing. Most of this you can do in the app; for anything else, email contact@bytelunalabs.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
QuoteFollow is a business tool for adults and is not directed at children under 16.
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. Significant changes will also be shown in the app.
